The Artist's Life so far
Born to an unremarkable late twentieth century suburban family he quickly developed a propensity for introspection and ponderous contemplation. Hours of sketching, scribbling and idle dreaming honed his artistic skills throughout his childhood. Walks in the countryside, sketchbook in hand, fed an active and restless imagination. A passion for contemporary artistic forms in childhood (the graphic narrative and cinematic image) developed into an interest in artists with a ruralist, spiritual and symbolic content. Following a Fine Art degree, specialising in painting and ceramics, he worked for several years as a practicing artist, exhibiting and selling with some success. Since the early 1990's he has taught Art, and currently manages a successful Art department within a large and "outstanding" secondary school.
